Start With Commercial-Grade Upholstery, Not Residential Vinyl

Many upholstery materials look nearly identical when they are new. The difference becomes obvious after several months of daily use. Residential or decorative vinyl may be suitable for occasional home use, but it is rarely designed for the cleaning frequency, abrasion, and body contact found in a commercial fitness facility.

Look for upholstery specifically intended for commercial fitness, healthcare, hospitality, marine, or similarly demanding environments. The material should resist abrasion, tearing, punctures, moisture, and repeated cleaning.
